About this home
A FARMHOUSE DESIGNED AROUND A LIFE OF PEACE, Where tradition, nature and everyday living come together.
Designed as a peaceful retreat for (*name confidential) , this traditional farmhouse in Kotwalguda was envisioned as more than a home—it was created as a place to embrace a slower, more meaningful lifestyle surrounded by nature, gardens and cherished memories.
Set within a one-acre site, the design takes a thoughtful approach to space, prioritizing open landscapes over excessive construction. Inspired by traditional South Indian homes, the farmhouse features sloping tiled roofs, wooden columns, spacious verandahs, curved sit-outs and traditional Arugus, creating a warm connection to familiar architectural traditions.
The landscape forms the heart of the experience, with fruit orchards, flower gardens, walking pathways, open lawns and peaceful relaxation corners offering opportunities to enjoy nature throughout the day. Carefully planned spaces encourage natural ventilation, easy movement and views of greenery, while dedicated storage and outdoor utility areas support everyday farming and gardening activities.
Every element was planned with comfort, practicality and low-maintenance living in mind, allowing the home to blend naturally with its surroundings. By dedicating the majority of the site to greenery and outdoor experiences, the project creates a balance between traditional architecture and a nature-focused lifestyle.
At its heart, *farmhouse reflects one simple idea: creating a home where nature takes center stage and every day brings more opportunities for peace, comfort and connection.
